The Headline Numbers
According to the company’s announcement, the data are based on an incidence-adjusted analysis of 380 plasma samples, spanning multiple cancer types and stages, benchmarked against SEER (Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results) cancer incidence data. Reported figures include:
- 72% incidence-adjusted sensitivity across all stages for a defined group of aggressive cancers — lung, pancreatic, liver, uterine, esophageal, bladder, oropharyngeal, and stomach cancer.
- 58% observed sensitivity for Stage I–II cancers specifically — the stages where early detection has the greatest potential clinical impact.
- Detection capability spanning over 60 cancer types, including strong reported performance in historically hard-to-detect cancers such as stomach, blood and esophageal cancer.
- A reported 72% sensitivity for brain cancer — notable because the company states other MCED platforms have shown 0% detection for brain cancer in comparable case-control studies.

How EPISEEK Works
EPISEEK screens for epigenomic (DNA methylation) signals associated with cancer from a standard blood draw. Rather than relying on complex genomic sequencing, the platform uses qPCR technology, which the company says enables a roughly one-week turnaround time at a lower cost than comparable tests.
- EPISEEK is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure disease, and performance claims have not been evaluated by the FDA unless otherwise stated. - Intended use is specific: EPISEEK is positioned for adults 45 and older at elevated cancer risk. It is not recommended for individuals who are pregnant, 21 or younger, or currently undergoing active cancer treatment.
- EPISEEK is used alongside — not as a substitute for — standard guideline-recommended cancer screening exams such as colonoscopy, mammogram, Pap smear, or low-dose CT.
