Ozone therapy is an oxidative therapy used to treat infections and regulate the immune system. Ozone helps to increase oxygenation in the blood and can also help with energy levels and tissue healing.
Ten-pass hyperbaric ozone was first developed in Austria and is a method of delivering ozone intravenously at levels much higher than regular IV ozone therapies. Although it is similar to major auto-hemotherapy ozone, it is more effective as significantly higher amounts of ozone can be administered in one treatment.
Once a patient’s vein is accessed a negative pressure is created that allows blood to be drawn into a bottle attached to an ozone generator. The bottle is filled with the patient’s blood and mixed with ozone, and the ozonated blood is then given back to the patient intravenously. “Ten-pass” refers to fact this process can be repeated up to ten times during each treatment. Each infusion is referred to as a “pass”. The ozone is delivered under positive pressure created by the ten-pass ozone machine. Even though ten passes are administered, since the ozone is given more quickly than regular major auto-hemotherapy, the amount of ozone delivered is up to 140,000 ug, compared to 3000-6000 ug for standard ozone treatments. This is over 40 times the dose per treatment. A typical treatment takes around 1-2 hours to complete.
