A female in her 50s came to the clinic with a history of chronic viral infections. She had undergone numerous naturopathic treatments in the past including colonics, IV vitamins, and diet therapy. Although she did benefit from some of the treatments she felt like she had never got to the underlying cause. When her lab testing revealed elevated antibodies for multiple viruses it explained why the patient was still suffering from fatigue, allergies and a weakened immune system.
Treatments were chosen due to their ability to both kill infections and help to support the immune system. Since the patient also suffered from dysbiosis and candida due to years of immune suppression it was also recommended she received treatments that directly affect her digestion.
The patient reported feeling significantly better after several treatments. Her allergies were under control for the first time in years and her energy was back. She was sleeping better, and the patient reported a feeling of overall well-being. She did still have some digestive and yeast issues, so it was recommended that the patient continue treatments and follow a candida diet while taking high dose probiotics and antifungal herbs. The patient will continue to intravenous therapy every few months to maintain the benefit she gained.
